A simple food truck with simply delicious cheesesteaks. The pastrami is also very good if you like a smoked flavor.

We have been going to the Tat's Truck for yummy sandwiches for many years now - it's kind of embarrassing that I'd never thought to write about them until now. Tonight, they were at Hell Bent in Lake City. We love that this is a regular spot for them these days because it is the easiest location for us to get to on their schedule. My go-to is either the Chicken Philly or the Turkey Tatstrami since I don't eat red meat. Tonight it was the Turkey Tatstrami. My husband and son always go and pick up the sandwiches. The folks working the truck are so kind and *always* remember them. There's something to be said about being a regular and having a friendly rapport with these cool people. They are often super busy but recognize my family every time. :) There were a lot of people waiting for their food when we got there, but the line to order was short. Everyone was patient - they knew dinner was going to be good! These sandwiches are not for everyone. If you don't like ones that get really messy and require several napkins, this isn't for you. Well, at least the sandwiches that I always order, anyway. What I love: - the super friendly staff, always upbeat and welcoming - the crazy delicious sandwiches, wrapped in white paper (I just love when sandwiches are wrapped in white paper) - their steak sauce. You have to ask for it if you're not getting a cheesesteak sandwich. I always get some. It's tangy and zippy and goes great with their food What could be better: - it's not their fault but parking is sometimes challenging in that area. Hell Bent is popular so it is tough to find a spot in that lot If you love Philly Cheesesteak types of sandwiches, and don't mind getting your hands a little messy, Tat's is a solid choice.

I am fanatical about my sandwiches. I saw the Tat's truck would be in my area. I got there right when they opened to be first. I ordered the classic Italian. Got my order and took it home. Opening the sandwich I was introduced to the best sandwich I ever had. The meat takes a back seat on this drive. The sweet and hot peppers are the real star. It was phenomenal, but don't think for a second I won't be trying to order my next one with extra meat. Meat is what a sandwich is about. I love this sandwich.

Divine. I had the pleasure of catching Tat's Truck in a nearby neighborhood, and my husband and I sampled their two most popular sandwiches: the Tatstrami and the Philly cheesesteak. There is an old ad campaign for an infamous fast food chain that featured celebrities biting into their burgers and having the sauce drip onto them. Tat's sandwiches make you feel like you're actually in one of those commercials, loving every moment as the sauce drizzles down your chin. The bread on both sandwiches is perfect. Toothsome with a cornmeal dusting but moist and gentle against the sandwich fillings. The pastrami is fragrant and tender, and its amped up by its accompaniment of crisp cabbage slaw. The cheesesteak is so juicy, and the cheese is complementary to the steak but doesn't steal the show. As you can see, Tat's sandwiches are incredibly generous with the meat, as well! Pro tip: if you happen to have a bag of French onion Sun chips lying around, eat them with the pastrami. It's symphonic. It's worth mentioning that their staff is super friendly and helpful, too! I cannot wait to find Tat's again in the wild!

Authentic east coast, from the bread to the meat to the lettuce. Legit. Fast and friendly, highly recommended.

I love me a good food truck and Tat's is a great way to get in a yummy, flavorful sandwich. Ordered the Tastrami and Philly Cheesesteak when they parked themselves in front of Ounces in West Seattle on a weekend. The Tatstrami didn't feel too heavy, and I really liked the texture of the crunchy cabbage slaw. I can understand why people order the Tatsrami on the regular since it feels like a different kind of pastrami sandwich. The Philly Cheesesteak was great too, but needed an extra kick of heat and flavor. Overall, I give Tat's a solid 4 stars, and I'd definitely come back.

The perfect game day food! A must stop, whenever I spot the tats truck at Ounces in West Seattle ( check schedule for locations and times). They are super friendly and have quick service. Tatstami is extremely flavorful, where the coleslaw goes well with the thin sliced pastrami. Philly Cheesesteak is also a great choice with sweet pepper. Ask for the steak sauce.

Got a chance to eat at Tat's truck in West Seattle near best of hands brewery on Saturday. Ordered their Italian Pork Roast and philly cheesesteak sandwiches. The philly cheesesteak was phenomenal while their italian pork roast was okay. The hot sauce was also good and it did add additional flavors to the sandwiches. Service was quick, food was good prices were reasonable, portions were huge. All in all value for money.

Tat's Truck is in downtown Bellevue on Tuesdays, which makes the FOMO of kickass Seattle food less prominent. I visited at noon, which warranted an impressive line that seemed long, but moved along at a good pace. From entering the line, to receiving my food, the wait time was just under 15 minutes. The employees were very friendly, and once you order, the wait for your food is very short. In fact, there were only about five people in the second line for food. Now let's talk about food... I ordered the Philly cheesesteak, which was all sorts of amazing. I'm not a peppers fan, so I omitted that from my order but kept the yummy onions. The portion size is large, meat generous, and overall was a fantastic sandwich. $11.50 for a full and happy belly is well worth the price. Next time I'll have to try their pastrami sandwich.
